How Democrats Married to Republicans Survive Election Seasons

A study by Joseph Grenny and David Maxfield, cofounders of corporate training firm VitalSmarts, found that 1 in 3 people have been “attacked, insulted, or called names” over political clashes, and 1 in 4 have had a political debate hurt a relationship. According to the online poll of more than 1,800 people, most heated political sparring matches—40 percent—take place at home.
