VitalSmarts Acquires Vital Skills of Michigan

PROVO – March 20, 2014 – VitalSmarts, a leader in corporate training and leadership development, announced today it has acquired Vital Skills International of Michigan. As part of the acquisition, VitalSmarts will maintain the presence of a Michigan-based office to provide its U.S. customers in the East and Midwest with streamlined and enhanced customer support.

“For many years VitalSmarts and Vital Skills have enjoyed a close, mutually beneficial relationship, and this acquisition is a natural extension of that relationship,” said Andrew Shimberg, chief executive officer at VitalSmarts. “We sincerely hope and expect the melding of the Vital Skills team into VitalSmarts will help all our employees and partners to work together at even higher levels within organizations to change for good.”

As part of the transition, Doug Finton, former managing director of Vital Skills International, will continue to head the training function as a Senior Master Trainer. All scheduled events, current contracts, and proposals will be honored. VitalSmarts will be hosting two events in May to connect with Michigan-based clients.

“Becoming part of the VitalSmarts team is a sign that our efforts at Vital Skills have been realized to the betterment of all our employees, our trainers and our customers,” said Finton. “We couldn’t be happier.”
