VitalSmarts Adapts Crucial Confrontations for Corporate Training Proven Process for Improving Individual, Team, and Company Performance

PROVO, Utah, March 1, 2005 – VitalSmarts, LC, a global leader in organizational performance and leadership, today announced the release of Crucial Confrontations(tm) training, a proven step-by-step process for enhancing accountability, improving performance, and ensuring execution. Crucial Confrontations joins its award-winning counterpart, Crucial Conversations training, to provide focused training solutions from VitalSmarts for confronting the chronic problems that keep organizations stuck.

The new training program, based on the New York Times bestseller Crucial Confrontations: Tools for Resolving Broken Promises, Violated Expectations, and Bad Behavior (McGraw-Hill, 2004), teaches a process for individuals and organizations where:

  • The problem is any form of disappointment – someone has let you down, violated an expectation, missed a deadline, or just plain behaved badly.
  • The goal is to close a gap between expectations and results by solving a clear and definable problem.
  • New skills are needed to help individuals, teams and organizations better understand and influence behavior in order to drive change.
