Online Marketing Specialist

VitalSmarts is seeking a full-time Online Marketing Specialist to contribute immediately to the marketing team. The ideal candidate will bring a thorough understanding of the Internet landscape at technical, strategic, and tactical levels.

Primary Duties:

  • E-mail Campaign Strategy and Execution (via Eloqua)
  • Landing page/Microsite Optimization
  • Online Reporting, Analytics, and Optimization
  • Lead Scoring and Maturation
  • Database Management
  • Online Offers and Tools
  • Online Media Buying (i.e. list acquisition, lead generation, SEM)
  • E-commerce

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all online campaigns from start to finish (create, test, optimize, deploy, track)
  • Conduct split test and multi-variant testing with pre and post e-mail marketing campaigns
  • Test, deploy, track, and optimize the Crucial Skills Newsletter (weekly e-newsletter)
  • Manage and execute all online media buying initiatives, including list acquisition, lead generation activities, and search marketing
  • Maintain working relationships and handle negotiations with online marketing vendors
  • Manage and track leads through marketing database to the CRM (lead scoring and lead maturation)
  • Maintain marketing customer database, conduct list pulls, manage data entry points, opt out lists, etc.
  • Analyze data and customer behavior to optimize performance of campaigns, make recommendations for improvement, track results
  • Partner with creative services and IT to ensure a seamless user experience and to achieve team goals
  • Implement and track Web site analytics (as related to online marketing campaigns) and offer recommendations for improvement
  • Build, test, and evaluate Web landing pages/microsites for accuracy, functionality, and performance
  • Develop and manage e-commerce solution
  • Fulfill copywriting responsibilities as needed
  • Travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities (travel and work may include weekends and evenings)

Requirements:

  1. Minimum five years of online marketing and/or e-mail marketing experience required.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business required.
  3. Experience using Eloqua preferred.
  4. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  5. Advanced HTML skills and strong technical understanding of e-mail campaign management.
  6. Familiar with wide range of Internet concepts including content management, e-mail campaigns, lead scoring, and e-commerce.
  7. Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Ability to self-start with strong sense of urgency to complete projects and meet deadlines.
  9. Ability to assess needs of the team and translate into actionable solutions.
  10. Effective interpersonal skills necessary to interface with multiple teams and clients.
