Reporting Structure

The International Licensee Manager will report to the Senior Director of Channel Development. This position has no direct reports.

Qualifications

Must be able to simultaneously manage a variety of important projects and effectively communicate and work with key individuals and teams within VitalSmarts and around the world. Must possess a genuine sense of urgency around building a highly successful global sales channel and be ready to tackle new opportunities as they present themselves. Skills in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent phone etiquette are required. Experience working with many world cultures is highly desirable.

Duties/Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Channel Development, the duties and responsibilities of the International Licensee Manager will include:

  • Refining and implementing the VitalSmarts Licensee Playbook and establish it as the primary tool for measuring existing licensee business planning and their production of royalty.
  • Increasing the predictability of licensee royalty through periodic detailed analysis of their business plans and by regular and consistent communication with licensees.
  • Working with the VitalSmarts Accounting Team to conduct licensee audits, including occasional international travel to verify accuracy of royalty reporting.
  • Serving as an excellent ambassador as a representative of the VitalSmarts Channel Development Team and its objectives, both within VitalSmarts and to its global partners.
  • Developing reports and templates for managing and measuring licensee production criteria.
  • Examining the training industry in markets where VitalSmarts licensees currently operate, to understand the business landscape and competitors there, and trends in politics, currency exchange rates and other economic factors to be better able to advise the licensees.
  • Developing VitalSmarts Licensee University; a repository of best practices to increase the effectiveness of its licensee network.
  • Researching new markets where VitalSmarts wishes to appoint a licensed representative.
